HwlaHwp.co.uk offers a self-publishing service for writers of children’s books in English or Welsh. We accept submissions of both fiction and non-fiction titles.

Steps for Book Submissions

If you would like to publish a children’s book in English or Welsh, then please follow the guidelines on this page.

Please email all submissions to office@hwlahwp.co.uk
If you have paper-based text or illustrations, please don’t send these to us until we have chatted on the phone. Email us first and we’ll contact you.

Your email should clearly state:

Your name.
Your address.
Your telephone number.
Important information such as print deadlines that we should know about.

Your manuscript should be attached to the email as a Word file. The formatting does not matter at this stage.

Any illustrations, or draft illustrations, or ideas for illustrations may be attached as separate files or can be embedded in the Word file. Do not worry about how good these are at this stage!

Once we have received your book submission, we will arrange a web meeting using Zoom or similar in order to talk through your requirements.

Several emails back and forth may follow until we are able to submit our book publishing proposal to you.
